- Three Essential Steps Before & After Sun Exposure
- Hello everyone! It's Tada from Lady Luck Osaka Umeda Main Store.
UV rays start to intensify around March, peaking from May to July. Today, I'd like to share vital information on skin care before and after sun exposure. Please read on!
Step 1: Pre-Sun Exposure Care
Preventative care is crucial before heading into the sun.
Sunscreen: Apply broad-spectrum sunscreen.
Oral Sunscreen: Consider supplements that boost your skin's resistance to UV damage.
Moisturizing: Hydrated skin is less prone to damage, so we emphasize moisturizing treatments at our salon. Those planning to spend extended periods outdoors or traveling to sunny destinations should be aware that sunscreen alone might not be sufficient.
Step 2: Immediate Post-Sun Exposure Care
Even with precautions, sunburn can occur.
Soothing Treatments: If you get sunburned, the first step is to calm the redness since this can lead to pigmentation. Our salon uses soothing masks to reduce this redness immediately.
DNA Repair Treatments: Once the redness subsides, treatments focusing on repairing damaged DNA are crucial to prevent lasting damage and pigmentation. Products containing Vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, and niacinamide are effective for repairing and rejuvenating the skin.
Step 3: Care for Existing Sun Spots
If spots have already formed, we have solutions.
Low Frequency Treatments: We use low-frequency devices to help skin naturally expel dark spots through accelerated cellular turnover. Combined with peeling treatments, this not only clears existing spots but also promotes a healthier skin cycle to prevent future pigmentation.
