- Acupuncture for hand numbness!
- We see people with a wide range of conditions in our clinics.
Some of them come to the clinic complaining of numbness in their hands.
One of the causes of numbness in the hands is cervical spondylosis or herniated cervical discs, which are deformities of the bones in the neck that cause nerve pain. However, even if the bone deformity or herniation is not significant, numbness in the hands may still occur.For example, if the muscles around the nerves in the cervical spine are too stiff or swollen, blood circulation may be impaired and blood flow to the nerves may be reduced, making nerve pain more likely to occur.
In addition, nerves and blood vessels going towards the hands run between the muscles deep in the neck and shoulder area. Therefore, if the muscles in the neck and shoulders become too stiff, the stiff muscles can constrict the blood vessels and nerves going to the arms, causing numbness in the hands.
Thus, it is very important to relieve muscle stiffness, whether it is simply a stiff shoulder or cervical spondylosis or cervical disc herniation that causes numbness in the hands.
