- Which is better for lower back pain?
- There are many different types of treatment clinics in the world, so the treatment for acute lower back pain will vary depending on the clinic you visit.
Most people probably think, “Isn't chiropractic treatment effective?” However, at our clinic, we recommend acupuncture treatment.
There are various types of chiropractic treatment, but applying excessive stimulation to the injured lower back can worsen the condition. On the other hand, mild stimulation or treatment alone may not be effective...Therefore, we believe that using acupuncture effectively is the best approach.
Of course, overusing acupuncture can also worsen the condition. For example, inserting needles too deeply, leaving them in for too long, or using too many needles... Therefore, at our clinic, we use acupuncture effectively and combine it with light massage and chiropractic techniques in a balanced manner.
In the early stages of a sudden lower back injury, we proceed with treatment while monitoring the condition.
As the condition improves with subsequent visits, we adjust the treatment content. Once we can perform treatment similar to that for ordinary lower back pain, we then focus on treatment to prevent future sudden lower back injuries.
For example, bodily misalignments, stiff areas, or restricted mobility can increase the likelihood of lower back pain.
However, even if we perform this treatment immediately after an acute lower back injury, it does not significantly alleviate the pain. In the acute phase, we focus solely on alleviating the current pain.
Once the acute pain subsides, we then address the underlying causes that make the area prone to lower back pain.
